This position will work hybrid in our Mexico City office.

What You'll Do: 

• Develop and maintain backend services, focusing on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. 

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. 

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across multiple environments, including production. 

• Continuously improve the performance and scalability of backend services to meet increasing user demands. 

• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, including planning, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. 

• Contribute to the design and implementation of data models, API endpoints, and services. 

• Monitor and optimize server infrastructure, manage cloud resources, and ensure high availability of services. 

• Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and share knowledge with peers. 

• Ensure service reliability by handling bug tracking, replication, and timely resolution of issues. 

• Work on data migrations, cloud optimizations, and cost management to improve infrastructure efficiency. 

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) 

• Proficiency in Python 3, with hands-on experience in building web applications using Flask or FastAPI (Django or other web frameworks are also a plus). 

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services design. 

• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis), including writing efficient queries. 

• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Unittest). 

• Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills, especially with database-related issues and application performance. 

• Version control experience, preferably with Git. 

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

• Comfort working in an agile development environment, adapting to changing priorities. 

• A solid understanding of security best practices and how to mitigate vulnerabilities in backend applications. 

We'd Love See:

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. 

• Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) or other asynchronous processing methods.
