Virtual WizardsVideo Producer
Location: Remote (must work primarily North America business hours; flexible within continental U.S. time zones)
Type: Full-time
About Our Client
Our client is a video production studio built to bring order to chaos. They work across creative development, production (in 30+ cities globally), and post-production for mid-size to enterprise brands. They're known for precision and reliable execution delivered with a human, collaborative, curious approach.
The Role
Our client is looking for a Video Producer to lead the execution of their production shoots remotely. You'll own each shoot from greenlight to wrap, running and evolving the production process that makes their work in 30+ cities feel seamless. You'll be the connective hub between their internal team, client stakeholders, partners, locations, and crew, and you'll partner closely with on-site producers who handle the work on the ground.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who loves the puzzle of production: turning a creative brief into a locked plan, anticipating what can go wrong, and keeping every moving part aligned across time zones.
One week you might be building a shoot schedule and budget for a multi-city campaign, the next you're briefing an on-site producer in a city you've never set foot in, and the next you're running a post-mortem and tightening the production playbook.
What You'll Do
Production Execution
- Shoot execution: Lead production from pre-production through wrap, developing schedules, budgets, call sheets, shot lists, and production plans for every shoot while solving problems in real time.
- On-site producer partnership: Brief and collaborate with on-site producers in each city, equipping them with clear plans and empowering them to execute in person while you hold the big picture remotely.
- Crew and vendor management: Source, book, and coordinate crew, talent, locations, gear and prop rentals, insurance certificates, permits, and vendor agreements across cities.
- Budget management: Work with the Executive Producer to own the day-to-day production budget for each shoot.
Stakeholder Communication
- Client communication: Serve as a primary production contact for client stakeholders, setting expectations, gathering approvals, and representing our client professionally and warmly.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the creative development and post-production teams to ensure what's planned in pre-production is captured on set and set up for success in the edit.
- Partner relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with the company's global network of crew, producers, locations, and vendors.
Process Ownership
- Run the process: Execute established production processes consistently, maintaining core documents such as production plans, call sheets, budgets, and crew agreements.
- Evolve the process: Identify friction points, build new templates and workflows, and refine how productions are managed as the company scales.
- Budget and financial tracking: Build and manage production budgets, track actuals, and support SOWs, vendor payments, and reconciliation.
- Continuous improvement: Run post-mortems after shoots, capture learnings, and turn them into better systems for the next production.
Who You Are
- A hands-on producer: You've produced video shoots across formats and are ready to own the full process.
- A remote operator: You know how to lead a shoot you're not physically on through clear documentation, proactive communication, and trust in on-site partners.
- Calm under pressure: Shoots rarely go exactly to plan. You stay steady, solve problems fast, and keep everyone focused when things shift.
- Process-minded: You can run existing processes, document them clearly, and build new ones as needs evolve.
- Precise: You're extremely detail-oriented. A call time, an address, a dollar amount, a missed release form β you know small details make or break a shoot.
- Collaborative and curious: You ask genuine questions, listen well, and enjoy being a connective presence across clients, crew, and teammates. You represent the company well because you genuinely care about doing right by people.
- Organized and timeline-conscious: You're comfortable juggling multiple productions at once, managing many deadlines, and planning around what's needed from others.
Our Client's Core Values
- Creativity: Asking "what if," taking bold action, and connecting dots across domains.
- Compassion: Seeing the humanity in everyone and assuming good intent, especially under pressure.
- Curiosity: Asking genuine questions before jumping to solutions and treating mistakes and surprises as opportunities to grow.
- Clarity: Communicating with intention and making the implicit explicit.
- Craftsmanship: Holding work to a high standard and taking pride in the details.
- Collaboration: Being open to feedback and believing the best work is created together.
