About Our Client
Our client is a video production studio built to bring order to chaos. They help mid-size to enterprise brands create video content that's both beautifully crafted and built to perform, from creative development to production in 30+ cities globally and post-production.
They're known for precision and reliable execution delivered with a human, collaborative, curious approach. They believe the best content starts with a clear understanding of who it's for and where it will live.
The Role
Our client is looking for a Creative Strategist to lead the creative side of their work. You'll own creative development from the initial idea to the final treatment, shaping content that's not just well-made but built to perform.
You'll stay deeply connected to culture and platform trends, connect every piece of content to a clear and impactful social strategy, and help clients understand what works, and what doesn't, across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who blends creative instinct with strategic thinking.
One week you might be pitching a series concept to a client's marketing team, the next you're writing scripts and hooks for a batch of short-form videos, and the next you're analyzing performance data to sharpen future content.
You'll work closely with producers, editors, and clients to ensure great ideas are executed effectively.
What You'll Do
Creative Development
- Concepting: Lead ideation for campaigns, branded series, podcasts, and social-first content, from initial brainstorms through polished concepts.
- Creative documents: Write and own briefs, treatments, scripts, hooks, shot lists, and pitch decks that clearly communicate the idea and how it will come to life.
- Pitching: Present concepts to clients with confidence, articulating the creative vision and strategic rationale behind each idea.
- Creative oversight: Partner with producers and editors throughout production and post-production to protect the integrity of the creative vision and ensure the final work delivers on its objectives.
Social Strategy
- Platform strategy: Develop content strategies tailored to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, accounting for each platform's formats, algorithms, audiences, and best practices.
- Strategy-to-content: Translate client goals into content plans, series formats, and posting cadences that tie directly to measurable outcomes.
- Trend awareness: Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging formats, and cultural moments, identifying which trends are relevant to each brand and which to avoid.
- Performance insights: Review content performance, identify what's driving results, and use those insights to continuously refine creative concepts and strategies.
Education & Thought Leadership
- Advising clients: Serve as a trusted creative and strategic advisor to client stakeholders, guiding them on what works and what doesn't across different platforms.
- Making the case: Help clients move beyond traditional approaches by using examples, data, and clear reasoning to build support for bolder, more effective content.
- Thought leadership: Contribute to our client's perspective on social video, including developing frameworks, playbooks, and content for the company's marketing channels.
Who You Are
- Creatively and strategically fluent: You've worked in creative development, content strategy, or social media at an agency, studio, or brand, and have developed ideas from concept through execution.
- Platform native: You're deeply familiar with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, and understand how and why content performs differently on each platform.
- A clear communicator: You can explain the reasoning behind creative ideas to clients and teammates, and you're comfortable presenting and defending your work.
- A strong writer: You can write compelling hooks, engaging treatments, and clear creative briefs, adapting your voice to different brands and audiences.
- Data-informed, not data-paralyzed: You use performance insights to guide creative decisions while trusting your instincts and taking calculated creative risks.
- Collaborative and curious: You ask thoughtful questions, listen well, and enjoy developing ideas with others. You represent the company professionally because you genuinely care about doing right by people.
- Organized and timeline-conscious: You're comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines while considering the needs of producers, editors, and clients.
Our Client's Core Values
- Creativity: Asking "what if," taking bold action, and connecting ideas across different disciplines.
- Compassion: Recognizing the humanity in everyone and assuming good intent, especially under pressure.
- Curiosity: Asking genuine questions before jumping to conclusions and treating mistakes and surprises as opportunities to learn.
- Clarity: Communicating with intention and making expectations explicit.
- Craftsmanship: Maintaining high standards and taking pride in the details.
- Collaboration: Being open to feedback and believing the best work is created together.
