Leasing Coordinator (AppFolio Required)

Location: Remote (Latin America)
Type: Full-Time
Hours: Must overlap with U.S. business hours
Compensation: $1,400 – $1,700 USD/month

Important

Prior Property Management experience and hands-on AppFolio experience are required for this role.

We are specifically looking for candidates who can ramp up quickly with minimal training and already understand leasing workflows, tenant qualification, guest card management, and lead follow-up inside a property management environment.


About the Role

We are hiring a Leasing Associate to support a growing U.S.-based property management company.

This is a highly conversion-focused role centered around leasing operations, lead management, prospect nurturing, and AppFolio CRM execution.

You will be responsible for managing prospective tenant inquiries from initial contact through application submission, ensuring every lead receives timely follow-up and a professional leasing experience.

This is not a traditional administrative role. We are looking for someone who understands leasing, communicates confidently over the phone, and takes ownership of converting leads into qualified applicants.


What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead Management & Guest Card Follow-Up

  • Respond to all incoming guest cards and prospect inquiries
  • Follow up with leads across Zillow, Apartments.com, Google, company website inquiries, and other listing platforms
  • Maintain rapid response times during business hours
  • Ensure every lead receives consistent and professional communication

Prospect Screening

  • Conduct initial qualification conversations with prospective tenants
  • Verify basic rental qualifications and eligibility requirements
  • Identify qualified prospects and move them through the leasing pipeline
  • Maintain accurate notes and records inside AppFolio

Leasing & Conversion Support

  • Nurture qualified prospects from inquiry through showing
  • Follow up consistently before and after showings
  • Answer questions about properties, amenities, rental requirements, and application processes
  • Encourage prospects to complete rental applications
  • Help maximize lead-to-application conversion rates

AppFolio CRM Management

  • Manage and update guest cards within AppFolio
  • Track prospect activity and communication history
  • Maintain accurate leasing records and follow-up workflows
  • Ensure pipeline stages remain organized and up to date

Follow-Up & Communication

  • Follow up with prospects daily throughout the leasing process
  • Re-engage inactive leads when appropriate
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively through phone, email, and text messaging

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 2+ years of direct Property Management experience
  • Hands-on AppFolio experience
  • Previous experience in leasing, lead conversion, tenant communications, or property management operations
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong phone presence and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Experience qualifying prospective tenants
  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of leads and conversations
