Reports To: Business Owner

About the Company

Our client is an independently owned mortgage loan processing business based in Florida, currently serving clients across the state with plans to expand into other states. The business has grown almost entirely through referrals from real estate professionals, with a smaller but steadily growing stream of new clients discovering the owner through her personal social media presence — despite little to no formal marketing effort to date.

The Opportunity

This is the business's first-ever marketing hire, so it's a wide-open canvas. The owner is hands-on, has strong instincts about what has worked so far (people respond well to seeing how fast and how much she closes), and is looking for someone she can hand ideas, execution, and strategy off to — not someone who needs a fully-built playbook to follow. The immediate priority is simply establishing a consistent, professional brand presence; as that presence starts driving measurable inbound interest, hours and budget are expected to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish simple, consistent branding (visual style, tone, voice) to apply across Instagram and other social channels.
  • Create and edit short-form video content (Reels) spotlighting the business — with particular emphasis on showcasing closing volume and turnaround speed, which has already proven to resonate with the audience.
  • Design flyers and static social posts as a complementary content format.
  • Build and maintain a regular posting cadence/content calendar for Instagram (and Facebook, where relevant).
  • Generate fresh content ideas rooted in what's already working, while proposing new formats, hooks, or channels the owner hasn't tried yet.
  • Periodically share simple performance updates (what's getting traction, what isn't) to help guide where to focus next.
  • As a lower-priority, longer-term item: explore ways to drive more traffic to the business website, though social media discovery is currently the priority.

What Success Looks Like

  • A consistent, professional brand presence live across Instagram within the first weeks of engagement.
  • Increased brand recognition — more of the owner's existing network and audience aware she owns and runs the business.
  • A steady content cadence built around proven themes (fast/high-volume closings) alongside fresh creative ideas.
  • Visible traction (engagement, follower growth, inbound inquiries) that supports a conversation about expanding hours and budget.

Requirements

  • Experience creating and editing Instagram Reels and other short-form social content (CapCut or similar).
  • Graphic design ability for flyers and static social posts (Canva or similar).
  • Strong content ideation skills — comfortable proposing formats, hooks, and strategy rather than waiting for detailed direction.
  • Ability to work independently with light, part-time oversight from a busy business owner.
  • Clear English communication skills, written and verbal, for a U.S.-based (Florida) audience and client.
  • Based in Latin America — strong candidate countries include El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, and Argentina.

Preferred (Strong Advantage)

  • Prior experience marketing for a real estate, mortgage, or financial services professional.
  • Experience helping build out a personal brand or professional presence from scratch for a service provider.
