About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing, family-run home services company based in Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in garage organization and transformation - custom shelving, storage systems, and full garage makeovers. Founded roughly three years ago, the company has scaled almost entirely through organic content and a strong Google reputation (160+ reviews, no paid ads), completing 150–200 jobs to date. Several videos documenting real job transformations have gone viral, including one reaching over 160,000 views. The founder is deeply hands-on with content creation and is now looking to build a full-time, in-house creative role to keep pace with demand.

The Opportunity

The founder currently shoots and edits nearly all content himself - producing about one video per day - and is sitting on a large backlog of unedited raw footage (10–50 photos/videos per job across 150–200 completed jobs). This role will take full operational ownership of the post-production video engine: scaling output from one video a day to five, without sacrificing the punchy, authentic, high-velocity style that has made the existing content perform. As the founder's true right hand on content, you'll also analyze channel data to drive business growth and brand recognition, and continuously refine content strategy. This is a foundational hire who will directly own the video pipeline and, over time, grow into a broader full-stack marketing role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Short-Form & Long-Form Video Production

  • Transform raw job-site footage and photos into polished, fast-paced, social-ready videos using CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Produce high-velocity short-form vertical cuts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Snapchat.
  • Edit structured, educational long-form videos for YouTube, optimized to rank in traditional search and drive generative AI search discovery.
  • Maintain the brand's established before/after storytelling format (e.g., the company's “10 & 10” documentation style) and current brand formatting, while running controlled A/B tests on new hooks, captions, pacing, and overlays.
  • Write and add captions/subtitles to all video content.
  • Independently work through the raw-footage backlog while keeping pace with new job-site content, mining the archive for fresh angles and project spotlights without needing constant daily direction.

2. Channel Ownership & Publishing

  • Build and manage a 30-day rolling content calendar, ensuring consistent, automated scheduling across all native platforms via Buffer.
  • Own end-to-end media output and publishing standards across every target channel.

3. Analytics & Optimization

  • Every Monday morning, present a concise performance review to leadership covering the prior week's top-performing videos, audience retention data, and the specific adjustments made to drive engagement.
  • Continuously evaluate platform metrics (watch time, profile visits, CTRs, lead inquiries) to identify winning themes and cut underperforming concepts.
  • Read basic content analytics and translate insights into actionable creative recommendations that increase brand reach and inbound inquiries.

4. Strategy & Ideation

  • Build on the founder's existing AI-assisted (ChatGPT) content workflow to generate new formats and angles based on what is and isn't converting.
  • Actively study industry benchmarks - including Gary Vaynerchuk (GaryVee) and PHLASH Consulting - as guideposts for where digital media and organic marketing are heading, and translate those insights into test concepts pitched during weekly Monday meetings.

5. Growth Path: Full-Stack Marketing Support (Bonus Asset)

  • Use existing WordPress templates and page builders to publish video blog posts, build promotional landing pages, update project photo showcases, and embed video content.
  • Over time, potentially expand into broader marketing support - basic SEO and Google Business Profile / reputation management.

What Success Looks Like

  • Video output scales from 1 per day to 5 per day (roughly 125–150+ published short-form videos per month, plus scheduled long-form content) with zero gaps in the Buffer schedule and no drop in quality or engagement.
  • The existing raw-footage backlog is steadily worked down.
  • Workflow independence reaches a 95%+ first-pass approval rate, with edits, captions, and scheduling requiring minimal revisions from leadership.
  • Consistent month-over-month increases in average video retention (especially the first 3 seconds) and overall profile traffic/engagement.
  • Flawless execution of the weekly Monday analytics cadence, bringing clear data insights and proactive test ideas to every meeting.
  • Content continues to convert into inbound leads, reinforcing the company's organic, no-paid-ads growth engine.

Requirements

  • Proven experience editing short-form, high-velocity social content - quick, punchy, visually engaging cuts in a modern social style.
  • Strong working proficiency in CapCut; Adobe Premiere Pro experience preferred. DaVinci Resolve a plus.
  • Experience editing both fast-paced short-form reels and structured, long-form educational content.
  • Proficient in native editing, formatting, and publishing standards across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Snapchat.
  • Comfort creating and scheduling captions and publishing across social platforms.
  • Demonstrable history of using video performance data to make strategic editing decisions that increased brand reach or customer inquiries.
  • Hands-on experience logging into WordPress to update site content, create simple landing pages, and embed video assets.
  • C1/C2 English proficiency - able to communicate clearly with minimal accent, both written and verbal, for weekly leadership calls and platform-native copy.
  • Based in Latin America, ideally within or near the U.S. Central time zone.
  • Relentless growth mindset - a self-motivated learner who stays ahead of algorithm changes, platform updates, and content trends.
  • Self-starter comfortable working closely with a hands-on founder and adapting quickly to a fast-moving, organic content strategy.

Preferred (Strong Advantage)

  • Prior experience creating content for a home services company - directly relevant to this brand's niche and audience.
  • Familiarity with a high-velocity, “GaryVee-style” content strategy and modern short-form social aesthetics.
  • Elevated design instincts and a creative eye that can actively improve on the founder's current content output.
